Yandex.Food users now have the opportunity to order from cafes and food trucks at stadiums where football, hockey and volleyball matches are played; food and drinks will be delivered immediately to the stands.
To place an order, you need to add the address of the stadium in the service application, then select the podium and indicate the sector and row in the comments, a Food representative told RB.RU. The courier will deliver the order in 15-20 minutes.
Yandex.Food plans to expand delivery to 16 stadiums in more than a million cities by the end of 2022. According to the service, total match attendance at these stadiums is 7 million people a year, which is roughly 15 % of fans across the country.
The first match, in which the service will deliver orders to fans, will take place on July 9 in St. Petersburg at the Gazprom Arena stadium: Zenit will play against Spartak in the framework of the Russian Super Cup in football.
In early fall, the service will also be available during hockey and volleyball games, along with the start of the new season in these sports.
