Google will update its spam policy. Now sites with content that abuses search engine results algorithms will be attacked, The Verge reports. The measure should improve the user experience and the quality of the content displayed.

The so-called “parasitic SEO” strategy involves placing content on high-authority external sites to appear at the top of search results.
An example is a news blog that posts discount coupons in a hidden part of the site, or an educational site that posts affiliate content unrelated to the specialized topic.
In March, Google already announced plans to combat this type of content and has now stressed that no matter who created the “parasitic content” (the site editor or an external source), it will still be considered an infringement.
