The new free insurance will cover damages to pedestrians’ health in case they are injured as a result of an incident (for example, a collision) with scooters belonging to the service. Previously this type of protection was only available with extended fee insurance, but it will now become standard.
In addition, MTS Yurent will continue to implement measures to increase the safety of all road users. One of the key tools will be the technology to identify users by phone number using MTS ID. This will increase users’ personal responsibility and reduce the number of violations such as ride-alongs or minors using scooters.
Already in 2024, the company began to block accounts of people under 18 years of age: since the beginning of the season, 6.1 thousand such profiles have been identified and disabled throughout Russia. Also, a ban on multi-rental has been introduced in Moscow – you can no longer buy more than one scooter from one account at the same time to prevent devices from being transferred to children or friends.
