For the fourth year, Ugra organizes together with the Skólkovo Foundation a startup competition; In 2024, more than 150 applications were submitted. And all the proposed design solutions, according to the governor, are focused on the requests of companies concentrating in Ugra.
“We are ready to expertly consider the proposals of startups, both those that have already proven themselves today and representatives of a new direction – student startups,” Ruslan Kuharuk told RB.RU.
“The financial support measures of the regional government aim to ensure that these projects are not simply winners of competitions, are not just a theoretical model, but rather find a practical application. Design solutions will be implemented by order of the government, by order of the relevant departments of the ministry and by order of large industrial enterprises. “This is probably the best support that can be provided today for new projects, for those ideas that we are ready to take to prototyping and then to replication.”
Within the framework of the SEF, numerous round tables, debates and strategic sessions were dedicated to small and medium-sized businesses (“Business Communication Platform”, “Youth Technological Entrepreneurship”, session on preferential regimes, etc.), investments (“Investschool 3.0”, awarding leaders in investment ratings, etc.), interaction between companies and governments (including within the framework of public-private partnerships).
A number of useful events for small and medium-sized businesses were also held: the SME Forum, the “Young Entrepreneur of Ugra” competition (in the nominations “Enterprises in the service sector”, “Enterprises in the trade sector”, “Enterprises “, “Franchises”, “Technological Businesses”, “Agricultural Businesses”, “Self-Employed” and “Production”) and the international forum “Everyone’s responsibility for a future common” of the Assembly of the Peoples of the Eurasian and African Countries.
In particular, at the round table “From trust of the people to trust in the economy”, tools of public diplomacy that can help establish a comfortable business climate between Russia and other countries were discussed.
Representatives of international intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, government agencies, representatives of the diplomatic corps and the business community demonstrated through case work that the basis of successful economic cooperation is people’s trust and that “public diplomacy” can become into a true competitive advantage within the global economy.
