According to Bloomberg, Tesla representatives reported this to a California judge. The harassment will stop once the plaintiff’s conditions are satisfactorily met.
At the same time, Tesla has not yet revealed the terms themselves.
Tesla’s lawsuit against Rivian emerged in July 2020. Elon Musk’s company accused a competitor of poaching employees to steal trade secrets.
About 70 workers were reported to have moved directly from Tesla to Rivian. Of them, at least four “possessed extremely valuable confidential information” before leaving for a competitor.
In 2021, Tesla claimed that, despite the lawsuit, Rivian was still poaching its employees: several “defectors” were “caught red-handed” trying to transfer developments related to the launch of next-generation batteries.
Rivian denied any wrongdoing and criticized the lawsuit as an attempt to stifle competition in the electric vehicle market. The company and its employees, who left Tesla and were named defendants in the case, lost an appeal and the lawsuit was dismissed.
As clarified by the agency, the trial will take place in March 2025 if the case is not dismissed.
