Review of the Hiper GSND-1300 gaming headset with an aggressive design

In this review, we will talk about a budget headset with a 3.5mm audio jack, which offers a good level of comfort, balanced sound, and a microphone. How do the headphones sound? What are the sensations of using headphones in terms of ergonomics? Let’s talk about all this now in order.

Equipment

GSND-1300 Hipers are sold in medium sized carton packs. There is a transparent part on the front/right side through which you can see the earphones. Its features are everywhere.

On the back you can see the technical specifications of the headphones.

Inside the package there is a headset, a Y-shaped adapter and an instruction manual, entirely in Russian.

appearance and design

The revised model is for sale only in this color, which is made in a black and orange style with a metal frame at the base.

The cable is about 200 centimeters long (without a Y adapter) and is encased in a sturdy braid.

The connection is made via two 3.5mm audio jacks.

The cable comes out of the left cup, at a distance from the headphones (about 30 cm) are the controls. Thanks to them, at any time you can turn the microphone on/off, or change the volume level.

By the way, you can remove the Y adapter and connect these headphones to an audio jack, but in this case the microphone will not work.

Let’s go back to the design of the headphones themselves, which is based on an orange metal frame. Manufacturers have chosen to use the same color on the microphone boom and headband overlay.

The speakers (40 mm) are hidden in the plastic cases of the bowls, on the outside of which are the company logos.

From the side, you can see that the bowls are designed at a slight/inconspicuous angle relative to the headboard. I can’t say that this scores points for comfort as it all depends on the shape of your head. But I can say that in my case they fit me well in the head.

The headset itself is very flexible, I will try to demonstrate it in the following photos. Before that, I will say that there are basic options here, like changing the size of the headband.

The soft ear cushions are made of artificial leather. They are fixed on the head (no signs of falling off), but I can’t say that the pads hold the ear part well. On the one hand, this is good, because the ears will hurt less during prolonged use. On the other hand, maybe someone wants better sound insulation.

The side parts of the headband are very high quality sewn, there are no protruding threads.

We’ll be moving on to testing the microphone soon, but before that I’d like to say that the headphone boom allows you to do just about anything with it. At any time, you can easily give the form we need.

If it’s not needed, you can easily get rid of it completely or just turn off the microphone using the controls.

As for the sound, to my surprise, everything is quite good. The overall sound of the picture can be described as smooth and correct, there are no major problem areas. By default, the headphones slightly underestimate the bass and overestimate the treble, but the final sound is really decent. The only thing is that the speakers slightly differ in sound in some areas, but I can’t call this a clear problem.

I was very pleased that the equalizer can “finish” the sound according to your tastes. In addition, the sound can be brought to an excellent level.

conclusion

The Hiper GSND-1300 headset is capable of satisfying most gamers’ requirements. Objectively, for this price it is difficult to find something suitable at the moment, but still some headphones from this manufacturer are still affordable.

Of the significant disadvantages (as for me) is the type of connection – 3.5 mm audio jack. However, I prefer the USB-A connection.
