Yandex Shop entered the second CIS country in a week – the service was launched in Kazakhstan. This was reported to RB.RU by the company’s press service.

Starting November 29, 2024, Almaty residents will be able to order fresh produce, prepared food, coffee and household items.
In Almaty, the service opened two dark stores, each of which offers about 3.2 thousand items, including products from local manufacturers. Dark stores also operate dark kitchens: kitchens where hot dishes are prepared immediately before delivery. The assortment includes about 50 hot dishes.
In 2025, it is planned to increase the number of dark stores in Almaty to 12. Expanding geographical presence is part of Yandex Shops’ international strategy. This will allow the service to attract new audiences and establish cooperation with local manufacturers in different countries, the company said in a statement.
Earlier this week, Yandex Shop was launched in Uzbekistan. There are currently three dark stores operating in Tashkent. In 2025, Yandex Shop plans to expand its network to 12 warehouses.
