Google Chrome will use artificial intelligence to provide quick summaries of reviews of stores and sites visited across the web. The function retrieves information from independent platforms and is currently under development.
According to the tipster known as Leopeva64 (@Leopeva64 on X), the name of the function is “Store reviews” (“Shop Reviews”, with free translation). When available, the feature provides “a summary of reviews from independent sites” such as Trust Pilot, ScamAdvisor and others.
To activate, the user needs to tap the “Settings” icon next to the page’s URL — is the area where you set cookie preferences, notifications and website settings. However, for now, no information is displayed because the feature is not working as it should.
According to the developer, The function will also have a button to open the side panel with all available analysis. This way the user can check more details about the reviews provided by the community.
Feature still under development
The new feature hasn’t even been rolled out to testers yet, but they will definitely be the first to try it. The feature must first reach the Chrome Canary version, which is one of the most unstable versions of the browser.
Since this is an addition that is sensitive to the user’s location, given the relevance of review platforms for a particular market This feature may be limited to certain regions — just like Chrome’s price monitor. Therefore, the availability of the role in Brazil is uncertain.
