During testing, the efficiency and effectiveness of delivery was evaluated.
At the moment, courier delivery from pickup points is available in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg, the option is partially implemented in Krasnoyarsk and Novosibirsk. Also, this function is fully implemented in the Moscow and Leningrad regions. This delivery itself is free for both customers and sellers.
“Our average delivery time is already about an hour,” says Nikolai Vikultsev, head of the WB courier department. Further expansion of the service will depend on needs, the World Bank clarified.
As the market’s press service explained to RB.RU, Wildberries offers complete management of the process of delivering goods by courier from the collection points. The process is completely centralized and couriers connect directly through the WB platform.
“Couriers connect to our service through a special application. After registration, which includes verification of personal data, they gain access to orders. In the application, couriers can independently select available orders, book them, arrive at the pick-up point with a QR code, scan it to receive the goods and then deliver the order to the customer,” the company told RB.RU. This allows the collection point to focus on its main function: issuing and receiving goods, the market explained.
In October, Yandex Market launched courier delivery from a pickup point. To take advantage of this opportunity, the collection point must hire a courier and establish working conditions with the market, Yandex Market said in a message on the Telegram channel to communicate with the collection point.
The courier fee will be 112 rubles per delivered order, or you can set a fixed payment of 5 thousand rubles per day if the number of orders is less than 46. In addition, the pickup point will receive 40 rubles for each delivered order.
