What’s new in the new One UI 7 extends throughout the system, Including native Samsung apps. One of the most obvious changes is the design, the appearance of which has been revised in many areas.
One of the changes is the lock screen. now has a “Now Bar” (“Now bar”, in free translation). The function is similar to Dynamic Island on iOS and provides real-time information from applications running on the mobile phone (e.g. music, stopwatch, voice recorder and health monitors).
To decorate the home screen, added new native app widgets and rearranged the appearance of various icons. The Quick Settings panel has also been redesigned to validate background information and now has more shortcuts and more customization options.
Another detail that Samsung highlights is in the Camera application. The tool now offers more intuitive buttons, shortcuts and gesture support, especially in pro modes.

One UI 7 also stands out with its additions to artificial intelligence. The manufacturer has introduced new AI writing assistance tools integrated into the system, designed to increase productivity and make daily life easier.
Call transcriptions are also coming to One UI 7. The tool supports up to 20 languages and, once activated, imports all content into its own document.
One UI 7 will come with new Samsung phones
In the statement released by Samsung, The company reinforces that One UI 7 will be released alongside the new Galaxy S family phones – probably Galaxy S25. However, for now, there is no definitive date for the introduction of new devices.
According to the company, the artificial intelligence functions of One UI 7 will be activated in the first quarter of 2025. The update will arrive for more devices throughout the year.
