The Ministry of Industry and Trade has reduced the engine production plan for the SSJ-100, MS-21 and Tu-214 aircraft for the period 2025-2026 by 1.5 times. This is stated in the explanatory note to the draft government resolution prepared by the ministry, writes Izvestia.

According to the development program of the aviation industry until 2030, in 2025-2026 it was planned to assemble 192 engines for these aircraft, but the production volume was adjusted to 128 units, that is, 1.5 times, the newspaper notes.
From the explanatory note it is clear that the changes are related to the need to synchronize the production of engines with supply contracts, since it is not economically viable to produce them ahead of schedule. It is planned to reach the volumes in 2027-2030.
In addition, the production adjustment will also affect the planes themselves. Izvestia clarifies that previously the government approved a comprehensive program for the development of the civil aviation industry, according to which it was planned to assemble 1,081 aircraft until 2030. In May 2024, the planned volume was reduced to 994 units due to a “demand economically unjustified,” sources told Kommersant.
The main difficulties are not related to the production of aircraft, but to their components, said the founder of the RunAvia flight safety service, Andrei Patrakov. It states that currently about 13% of the components of the Tu-214 require import substitution, in the MS-21, 60%, and in the Superjet-100, about 80%.
In late November and early December, several incidents occurred with the Azimut Airlines Superjet. On November 24, the plane landed at Krasnoyarsk airport due to hydraulic problems, and on the same day another ship made a forced landing in Antalya. On November 28, the Saransk – Saint Petersburg flight took place. arrested due to a breakdown of ground equipment, and on December 1 the plane made an emergency landing in Mineralnye Vody.
