From Intel, the “director of graphics”, the head of development of its own discrete graphics processors, Raja Koduri, is leaving. For almost 6 years of Koduri’s work in this position, Intel has not been able to seriously compete with Nvidia and AMD.
Leaving Intel Raj Koduri said on his social media page.
Koduri joined Intel in 2017 from AMD and took over as head of proprietary GPU development. Intel then decided to become a competitor to the giants of the gaming graphics card market Nvidia and AMD.
For almost 6 years of Koduri’s work, Intel could not become a serious player in the video card market – in the company’s serial graphics processors, there were problems with the operation of drivers and software.
Koduri said that after leaving Intel, he will develop his own technology startup in the field of generative artificial intelligence.
