Google has unveiled Genie 2, an artificial intelligence model that can create 3D video game worlds with a variety of effects including physics, smoke, water and character animation. It was developed by the DeepMind laboratory, specialized in AI, according to a statement on the company’s website.

The model can create a 3D scene up to a minute long based on an image and a text query. They can be first or third person scenes, in which you can control the game character, transport him, run, shoot and perform other actions.
Genie 2 can also model non-player characters (NPCs) and remember parts of the game world that disappear from the player’s view, and then recreate them when the player returns to the location.
AI makes it possible to turn concept art and drawings into interactive environments. This will help artists and designers create prototypes, which will speed up the process of designing gaming environments, Google claims.
The company did not say when or how it will be possible to use Genie 2. Google DeepMind presented the first version of this model in February.
American startup World Labs and Israeli company Decart are also developing technologies for modeling interactive 3D scenes. In late November, the head of artificial intelligence startup xAI, Elon Musk, announced plans to create a gaming studio.
