The company is looking for contractors to issue tickets for business trips for candidates and employees of Ozon Community LLC (a division of Ozon that handles rotating staff).
As part of the contract, it is necessary to issue tickets for approximately 150 to 300 people, who will travel in groups of 10 to 15 people per month from India, as well as from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, according to the “Internet Solutions” material. .
Ozon declined to reveal details.
As Natalya Kolesnikova, director of Ancor Industry, explained to RB.RU, attracting immigrants in the face of personnel shortages in the current labor market is one of the trends. The expert called Russia one of the global centers of gravity for migrant workers, including skilled ones.
“Employers are now increasingly looking to workers from countries such as India, Nepal, Bangladesh, North Korea and Kenya. The people of these territories may be of interest to construction, agricultural, service and logistics companies. Indian job seekers are applying for both unskilled and more advanced jobs. We are talking about positions such as engineers, doctors, lawyers. IT specialists are in special demand,” Kolesnikova commented.
- Russian companies are very interested in Indian personnel. As analysts from the HeadHunter website (hh.ru) calculated for RB.RU, in the first half of 2024, compared to the same period last year, the number of vacancies from Russian companies for IT specialists in India increased by 68% to 764, and in Pakistan – 2.4 times to 80. The number of invitations for Russian vacancies in India increased by 62% to 862, and Pakistan – 2.5 times, up to 83 people.
Kolesnikova added that today the migration map is changing. This is due to the tightening of immigration controls related to workers with patents, restrictions in legislation on the issue of attracting foreign citizens to certain types of activities, as well as a decrease in the financial attractiveness of working in Russia.
Immigrants’ interest in working abroad, including Russia, is largely due to the low standard of living at home and the impossibility of finding work there, the expert added.
“The healthy and economically active part of the population between 20 and 39 years old, like the majority of people in these countries, lives quite poorly. Salaries in these countries range between 60 and 120 dollars per month. In summary, it should be noted that, in general, labor migration for an employer can be an effective tool if used correctly: legally, with good planning and a well-developed economic justification,” Kolesnikova concluded.
