The Pantone Research Institute has announced the main color of 2025. It turned into a light brown shade, reminiscent of coffee mousse. A message about this was posted on Pantone’s website.

“PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse is a soft and expressive brown shade that transports our senses to a world of pleasure and flavor. Warm and rich, it nourishes us with memories of the delicious properties of cocoa, chocolate and coffee, creating a feeling of comfort,” the statement says.
According to Pantone researchers, Mocha Mousse “expands our understanding of the color brown, transforming it from humble and earthy to ambitious and luxurious.”
Pantone is an American company that developed the standardized Pantone Matching System (PMS), which is widely used in printing and manufacturing.
The Pantone Institute has been announcing next year’s main color for 24 years. Last year, Pantone’s Color of the Year was the light peach shade PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz.
