The user has a large selection of characters to choose from, with different personalities, looks and hobbies.

You can connect your device to others to raise virtual pets together, play games, exchange items and much more. There are even a number of mini dances, fast food and seasonal games; these allow you to accumulate points in exchange for food, shopping and more free stuff.

In Tamaverso, the metaverse of Tamagotchi Uni, the user connects to characters from all over the world, try new fashion styles, embark on different adventures and meet your virtual pet partner. Connecting via Wi-Fi allows you to download special items and new areas to explore.

When will it go on sale?

The new version of Tamagotchi can be used as a smart watch as well as being carried in your pocket like the classic virtual pet of the 1990s. It has pink, purple, black and white bracelets and a rechargeable battery via the USB-C port, whose autonomy has not been disclosed.

The toy also has a choice of seven languages, including Portuguese, where the characters speak for the first time, and provides parental controls. With this last function, parents can make the accessory safer for their kids.

Suitable for children over 6 years old, Tamagotchi Uni will be available worldwide from 15 JulyAccording to Bandai Namco, pre-orders start earlier in Toymania. The manufacturer did not disclose the price of the new version of the virtual pet.
