The incident became known thanks to a photograph taken in the cabin of an Airbus A321 plane and distributed among airline and airport employees. It shows an unknown man in the cockpit of an airplane holding a tablet streaming the Qatar Formula 1 Grand Prix races. According to the Baza Telegram channel, the tail number of the aircraft is RA73414.

A complaint was sent to representatives of the airline by one of the subscribers of a public page dedicated to racing, Baza clarifies. In his message, a social network user complained that during the flight the pilot was distracted by strange things and was not monitoring the plane.

The S7 press service highlighted that the ban on unnecessary actions or conversations in the pilots’ office applies at an altitude of up to 3 thousand meters. At an altitude higher than this, one of the pilots has the right to be distracted with food or a rest, as long as the co-pilot maintains control of the aircraft.
