Wild berries will remove all aroma inhalers from sale. Marketplace made this decision based on the results of its own audit, the site’s press service reported. Previously, Rospotrebnadzor asked the first deputy chairman of the State Duma control committee, Dmitry Gusev, to check the devices for prohibited substances.

“The joint venture of Wildberries and Russ previously announced a test of aroma inhalers on the market. “Based on the results of the inspection, it was decided to block the aroma inhalers on the platform within 24 hours, the goods will be removed from the display case,” the site said in a statement.

RB.RU sent a request to the market’s press service asking about the reasons for removing the devices from sale. Previously, the company stated that Wildberries does not sell prohibited products and strictly complies with current legislation.

We are talking about aroma inhalers with essential oils. Wildberries sellers indicate on product cards that such devices “help with motion sickness, motion sickness and relieve fatigue.” Users in the comments say that aroma inhalers relieve nasal congestion.

On December 6, Gusev sent a letter to Rospotrebnadzor asking to check whether aroma inhalers contain prohibited substances. As a basis for the inspection, the deputy cited reports from schoolchildren who call the devices “brain-cooling” and note the “head-inducing effect.”
