iOS 18.2 was finally released to all users this Wednesday (11). The update introduces a number of new features, including Apple Intelligence viewing capabilities; Improvements to the Notes app and integration of Siri with ChatGPT.

THE iOS 18.2 brings more Apple Intelligence features to supported iPhones — iPhone 15 Pro and the entire iPhone 16 series will be the first time users will be able to try Image Playground, a text description-based image creator app, and Genmoji, an AI emoji generator.

Each Image Playground image can have a different style. All creations are saved in the gallery and synced across devices linked to the account.

Still in the rendering phase, the Notes app has the Image Wand. The tool converts handwritten doodles and notes into images.

THE new iPhone system also includes ChatGPT integration with Siri. Now, if Apple’s virtual assistant is faced with a question that is too complex, it will ask for permission to consult the OpenAI chatbot to answer your request.

Similarly, Writing assistance tools built with ChatGPT. The solution can examine the text for you and make changes to tone, length, and other details.

iOS 18.2 comes loaded with new features

  • Apple Music and Apple TV can now interpret natural language searches;
  • Voice Memo app can now capture recordings in different layers;
  • The Camera Control button now provides access to “Visual Intelligence”, a function that controls information about surrounding objects and places;
  • New Sudoku game added to News application (exclusive to countries with News+ subscription);
  • Added new images to decorate the background of the Safari home page;
  • Safari finally lets you import/import data from other browsers;
  • A new block has been added to Dynamic Island that tracks the progress of browser downloads;
  • Two-stage operation of the Camera Control button now allows you to change camera focus and exposure when pressed;
  • APPLICATION Podcasts now lets you mark categories as favorites To access your favorite genres in the library;
  • Finder app gains Share Item functionality; Makes it possible to locate and recover lost items using AirTags or other compatible accessories.

Now, iOS 18.2 RC available to testers only. The expectation is that the update will reach all users on Monday (9), but everything depends on the success of the tests.

  • iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max.

with iOS 18.2 Apple also released iPadOS 18.2macOS Sequoia 14.2, tvOS 18.2, watchOS 11.2 and visionOS 2.2.
