During his meeting with President Vladimir Putin, Shadayev stated that now the majority of students entering IT departments choose software development. However, only 9% of these are aimed at fields related to basic disciplines such as applied mathematics and physics. According to the Minister, it is precisely these experts that are missing to ensure technological leadership in the future.
Shadayev emphasized the importance of improving educational programs in the field of artificial intelligence.
