The law introduces changes to the Labor Code. “In the event that an employee is called up for military service during mobilization, sent to serve in the troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation during mobilization or concluding a military service contract during the period of mobilization <...> The employment contract concluded between the employee and the employer is suspended for the period of service,” the document says.

According to him, support measures for military families will also be extended for the entire period of service.

The explanatory note of the bill developed by the government stated that now employees who enter into a contract with the Ministry of Defense for a period of more than one year may lose their employment and the social support measures to which they are entitled by law. The contract, according to current legislation, can be signed for a period of up to three years.

At the end of October, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin explained that the preservation of the jobs of the participants in the special operation “will allow them, at the end of the contract, not to waste time on new jobs, but to return to their official duties.” .
