Apple plans to introduce the 4th generation AirPods in two versions in 2024, Bloomberg reports.
AirPods have a new design that will look like a cross between AirPods 3 and AirPods Pro. The fit is expected to improve, but whether silicone ear pads will appear is unknown.
The headphones will be available in two versions. The first, cheap one, will replace AirPods 2 and 3. The second, more expensive one, will support noise reduction. This way, students don’t overpay for AirPods Pro to get noise cancellation.
Both versions of the headphones come with a USB-C charger and a speaker for audio alerts from Latitude.
AirPods 4 will likely be introduced in September along with the new iPhones. Apple is also planning to update the AirPods Max next year, but the new version will only come with USB-C and other colors. [Bloomberg]
