Users have complained of peeling and staining on the most active scrolling areas and edges of the screen.

The problem was first noticed less than a year after the device was released. One of the users posted pictures where the coating started to peel off with no obvious external damage.

According to experts, this is due to the softness of the coating, which cannot withstand regular use and is susceptible to microdamage.

Samsung has yet to comment on the situation or clarify whether the defect will be covered under warranty.

The company tends to consider coating wear as natural aging and excludes warranty service.

Users are advised to care for the screen carefully, use only microfiber and avoid aggressive cleaning agents.
