Users can see the model’s thoughts in real-time in Google AI Studio and Vertex AI by clicking the “Expand to view model thoughts” button.
Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking has already taken first place on the Chatbot Arena LLM Leaderboard, leading in categories such as mathematics.
Google says this is the “first step” in improving reasoning capabilities, with an eye on future integration into core Gemini models. For now this is an experimental tool.
