Candidates must have a CE category driving license (which allows them to drive a truck with a trailer weighing more than 750 kg), three years of truck driving experience, a “calm and careful driving style”, an excellent knowledge of traffic rules, etc. .

Employees will work in the village of Mikhnevo, Moscow Region. The salary ranges from 210 thousand rubles to 230 thousand rubles, registration is official according to the Labor Code. Drivers will also undergo an internship during which they will learn how to drive in emergency situations.

In mid-October, Yandex began delivering commercial cargo using unmanned trucks on the M-4 Don highway. Today, drones travel with a driver in the cabin, who must control the movement of traffic. Future plans include launching “fully autonomous freight transportation without a test driver,” the company said.

Yandex has been developing an autonomous driving system since 2017. The company is also testing autonomous vehicles in Moscow, Innopolis (Tatarstan) and Sirius (Sochi).

Self-driving cars can drive on public roads in Russia under an experimental legal regime that was adopted in March 2022. It also made it possible to start the movement of Kamaz and Sberavtotech drones on the M-11 Neva between Moscow and St. Petersburg.
