The MBIR reactor, the world’s largest fourth-generation multi-purpose fast neutron reactor, is part of Rosatom’s plan to develop new technologies for nuclear energy. As part of the ongoing work, two intermediate heat exchangers, each weighing 38 tons, 9 meters high and 2.5 meters in diameter, were installed. The installation of these large elements was carried out with high precision, the deviation from the horizon did not exceed 1 mm per 1 meter.

Additionally, barrels weighing 16 tons each are mounted for fresh and spent fuel groups (FA). These barrels are necessary for heating and cooling fuel assemblies in an inert gas environment. The installation of these elements will allow us to complete the concrete pouring of the central hall of the reactor and continue the installation of equipment at the next level.
