According to Rospotrebnadzor, in June Russia experienced the largest outbreak of botulism since 1999: 415 people were injured and two died. According to the head of the department, Anna Popova, the reason was precisely the activities of Local Kitchen. He added that the situation could result in a loss of business for the company.

Oleg Kozyrev announced on December 25 on his social network page that he was no longer a member of the LLC. The businessman published a screenshot of an extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, according to which, as of Wednesday, he himself, O2O Holding LLC (a former joint venture between Sber and VK, but VK abandoned it in 2022) , Kirill Rodin and Alexey Kolesnikov left the project.

“It was fun until it became sad,” the businessman commented on this event.

As of October 7, Oleg Kozyrev and Alexey Kolesnikov each owned 6.19% of the company, Anton Lozin 2.58% and Kirill Rodin 0.32%. O2O Holding LLC owned 84.72%. It is unknown how the shares were distributed after the participants left the project and whether they were hidden or became the property of other people. Oleg Kozyrev did not respond to RB.RU’s request at the time of publication of the material. According to Kontur.Focus, the only known participant in the project remains the company’s CEO Anton Lozin, but his involvement has not changed.

In 2021, Kozyrev already announced that he had abandoned the “Kitchen in the District” project, but later clarified that he retained his part. The entrepreneur was about to start a new project. As RB.RU reported, in the US it registered the Tingz social commerce service for creators.

Kozyrev’s second statement came after a demand from Rospotrebnadzor. On December 24, the Moscow Arbitration Court accepted the application of the territorial department of Rospotrebnadzor for the city of Moscow in the South-Eastern Administrative District to “LokalKitchen” for administrative liability under Part 2 of Article 14.43 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (violation of technical regulations resulting in harm to health, fine up to 600 thousand rubles) by agreement drawn up on the basis of the protocol drawn up on November 28, 2024. The content of the protocol is not reported.

On June 28, Moscow’s Lublinsky Court suspended the work of the local kitchen for 90 days following massive botulism poisoning after eating salads with Lobio beans. The company’s production is currently closed, according to a message on its website. The court also remanded Lozin until November 15; It was not officially announced whether the arrest would be prolonged.

As Boris Feldman, director of legal affairs at DestraLegal.ru, explained to RB.RU, those affected by the botulism outbreak are already receiving compensation, the amount of which is increasing.

“Five victims have already signed agreements with Samokat (product delivery company), as well as with Kitchen in the district, and so far more than 4 million rubles have already been paid; The claims were fully satisfied in the pre-trial phase. stage,” said the lawyer. At the end of September, the payment amounted to 3 million rubles.

According to him, another lawsuit by the victims is planned, since the negotiations did not lead to the desired result, but it will be known at the beginning of 2025.

Local Kitchen is suing a salad bean supplier for botulism, the attorney added.

“The company filed a petition with the court stating that bean supplier Savon-K LLC; the Dorogomilovsky District Court postponed the hearing to attract the supplier, as its interests may be affected. The next meeting is scheduled for January 21,” the lawyer added.

According to Rospotrebnadzor, Savon-K has already been fined 150 thousand rubles twice as part of a trial for botulism infection after eating beans. Court documents indicate the company supplied a textured protein product from China: dried, dried soy asparagus. There were violations when declaring products. The laboratory that tested the products no longer exists; Furthermore, it did not issue a sanitary-epidemiological certificate for pathogenic organisms. Furthermore, compliance with technical regulations by asparagus was not confirmed. In addition, Savon-K did not take additional sanitary measures to combat botulism, for which it was also fined 150 thousand rubles.
