LG decided to highlight some announcements from CES 2025 and revealed the world’s first 45-inch, 5K2K resolution, foldable display monitor. The model has already achieved significant success at the event, such as the Innovation Award.

Called the UltraGear OLED Bendable Gaming Monitor (45GX990A), this model is the first to pack all these features together, highlighting a 5,120×2,160 resolution that’s taller than 4K but with the same number of horizontal lines.

Additionally, the model runs in a 21:9 aspect ratio rather than the 32:9 aspect ratio common on 45-inch monitors, which LG believes has better compatibility with games and other media.

The monitor has a screen that can be bent to a 900R curve or until it is completely flat. The display is WOLED, compatible with features like Nvidia G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, as well as LG Anti-Glare technologies to reduce screen reflections, but the company is yet to reveal full specifications.

LG also introduced the 45GX950A version with a curved display and 800R enhanced curvature, which retains many similar features but without the folding option.

The company announced that these two models will have technologies such as HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1 connectors and a fast response time of only 0.03 ms. The products will also feature Dual Mode, which allows you to switch the display to a lower resolution in exchange for a higher refresh rate.

The new monitors in the LG UltraGear series will receive more information, such as pricing information and release date, during CES 2025 next week.
