CES 2025: everything you need to know

For the consumer technology industry, the years begin with a big event: CES. Formerly known as the Consumer Electronics Show, KES It is a trade show for all types of technology products that has been held at various Las Vegas convention centers for 58 years and will also host several events at the Sphere Arena in 2025.

What is KES?

CES is a consumer technology trade show organized by the Consumer Technology Association, known as CTA by its English acronym.

Typically held in Las Vegas during the first few days of the year, it brings together tech industry executives and workers from around the world who come to showcase products that will hit stores throughout the year.

CES is an acronym for Consumer Electronics Show, but for several years now the CTA has preferred to refer to the event exclusively as CES.

CES 2025: when is it?

CES 2025 officially begins on January 7 and ends on January 10, but there are a pair of media and industry-focused events taking place two days before that.

The first of these is known as CES Unveiled and is a sort of compilation of articles selected by the CTA and intended exclusively for the press; This event will take place on January 5th. Later, on January 6, several conferences will start, including one led by CTA, which will talk about the technology trends that we will see throughout the year.

CES 2025: brands and displays

With a few notable exceptions (like Apple, which long ago stopped participating in CES), virtually every consumer technology company has a presence at CES. This includes names like Samsung, LG, Nvidia, AMD, Qualcomm, Sony, Hisense, Lenovo, TCL, Meta and more.

Additionally, CES has included more and more auto brands over the years, and this year will see names like BMW, Honda, Volvo, Zeeker and Honda showcasing a product in an alliance with Sony.

CES 2025: conferences

CES 2025 will feature eight major conferences. Perhaps most striking is the proposal offered by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, where we are expected to learn about the RTX 50 series and more about Nvidia’s AI revolution.

NVIDIA Conference will take place on Monday, January 6 in the Bayside Lobby of the Mandalay Bay Hotel.

Another conference that generated a lot of interest was one hosted by Tekedra N. Mawakana, Deputy CEO of Waymo.
