“These values allow us to estimate how much pure alcohol enters the body, which is important in determining dangerous or toxic doses. A dose at which basic vital functions such as breathing or heart function is impaired is considered fatal. For an adult, this dose is on average 300-400 milliliters of pure ethanol . This is equivalent to 750-1000 milliliters of vodka, 2.5-3 liters of wine and 5-6 liters of beer,” said Kalyuzhnaya.
