First, Apple Intelligence, which is likely to appear in VisionOS 3, could turn Siri into a more capable tool for “spatial” actions. Voice interaction is particularly important for Vision Pro, and the integration of advanced AI features can greatly improve the overall experience.

Secondly, gaming remains an underdeveloped area for the Vision Pro. Although Apple Arcade offers exclusive games, the lack of VR controller support limits its potential. Expected compatibility with PlayStation VR2 controllers could change that, but Apple will need to “demonstrate a stronger commitment to gaming” to compete with other VR headsets.

Finally, there is a need to expand the content for immersive video. This distinguishing feature is in some demand but has limited availability.

If Apple can be successful in these areas (artificial intelligence, gaming and video), Vision Pro can be saved from oblivion.
