As can be seen from ICE data, the cost of Dutch gas futures as of deliveries on February 25 reached 50.705 euros per MWh, 2.1% more than the original price. Now the cost is around €49, shipping in March is €48.
Previously, European authorities stated that the expected interruption of the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine would not have a significant impact: the countries are ready for the end of the agreement according to which about 5% of all gas was supplied to the countries Europeans.
The agreement provided for an extension procedure, which some countries requested (the appeal was signed by the Slovak Eustream AS, the Hungarian MOL Hungary Oil and Gas Plc and MVM Zr, as well as companies from Austria and Italy), but the extension did not take place. .
