The main reason for the delay was the optimization process of the Series S console, which was weak by modern standards.

Game Science studio co-founder Feng Ji confirmed that the main challenge was the Series S’s modest amount of RAM (only 10 GB).

Developers are faced with the fact that a high-quality port for this console requires tremendous experience and time, making its release impossible for now.

A similar situation previously occurred with Baldur’s Gate 3, whose release on Xbox was postponed due to mandatory Series S support.

Despite Microsoft’s assurances that technical problems did not play a significant role, experts attribute the failure of Game Science precisely to the limitations of the lower console.
