During the period of restrictions, nine aircraft landed at alternative airfields: one flight to Perm was sent to the Koltsovo (Yekaterinburg) alternative airfield, five flights to Kazan and one flight to Nizhnekamsk. Two planes heading to Izhevsk were redirected to the Kirov (Pobedilovo) alternative airfield.

“Aircraft crews, air traffic controllers and airport services took all necessary measures to ensure flight safety – this is the top priority,” Korenyako emphasized.

Airports were temporarily closed amid news of the destruction of 61 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in the Rostov, Bryansk, Voronezh, Belgorod and Oryol regions. There have been no reports of drone attacks in Tatarstan.
