According to a study by Kontakt InterSearch Russia, only 1% of women in senior positions prefer to work with a woman. There were no men willing to work under the guidance of the opposite sex.
The survey was conducted in February 2022. 1,052 managers participated: 55% men and 45% women.
The study also showed a rapid increase in the number of those who disagree with the practice of gender quotas. 82% of men and 54% of women oppose. In 2020, according to a similar study, the rate of disagreement with the practice among men was 62%, among women - 11%.
More than half (54%) of the women admitted that they faced a situation of gender inequality: 44% -sometimes 10%- regularly. Men spoke of a similar situation in 30% of cases.
The main obstacle to careers for men and women is intrigue in the business environment. This factor was noted by 34% of women and 32% of men. Career and lack of connections, fatigue and emotional exhaustion interfere. Women are more likely than men to name a factor such as gender/nationality discrimination, while men are more likely to face high competition in the labor market.
