Nubia has announced new versions of its gaming smartphones as follows: Red Magic 7S and Red Magic 7S Pro. The refreshed devices also bring a repackaged version of Qualcomm’s most powerful processor available, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1.
With the announcement of an improved version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen1, it’s no surprise that the Red Magic 7 also has new versions. Devices that sell themselves as “players” are always looking for the most advanced features available.
Again speaking of performance, both devices were announced in various memory options. The standard 7S comes in 8GB, 12GB or 16GB RAM options with up to 512GB of storage. The 7S Pro starts at 12GB of RAM with 16GB and 18GB options and has up to 1TB of storage.
The devices retain the screen of their predecessors, the 6.8” AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400p resolution. However, the Red Magic 7S reaches a refresh rate of up to 165Hz while the 7S Pro stays at 120Hz.
Both the Red Magic 7S and Red Magic 7S Pro go on sale this week in China for 4,000 yuan (R$3,183) and 5,200 yuan (R$4,138) respectively. Nubia has already confirmed that the Red Magic 7S Pro will be sold internationally soon, but there is still no news about the global availability of the Red Magic 7S.
