FSR4 is designed for the RDNA4 architecture, which includes third-generation AI cores. However, AMD did not specify why support for the technology was limited to RX 9070 series cards only. It’s unclear whether this is because older models like the RX 9060 don’t have the necessary hardware, or because the RDNA3 doesn’t support FSR4.

For now, we know that FSR4 will only be supported in games with FSR 3.1 integrated. One of the first games to support this technology will be Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
