The acronym AGI stands for systems that make autonomous decisions and act “to achieve goals.” According to Altman, OpenAI aims to create general-purpose artificial intelligence and bring it closer to human intelligence.
Altman is also backed by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, who is also banking on mass deployment of AI agents. He believes that corporate use of agents has already become trendy.
Cointelegraph portal, citing Altman, states that Altman believes that “superintelligence tools” can significantly accelerate scientific discoveries and innovations and “lead to increased wealth and prosperity.”
“We are now confident that we know how to create AGI in the traditional sense,” Altman wrote on the X account.
