The feeling of time slowing down may occur when you are bored, worried about something, or concentrating too much on what is going on. Some people exhibit this attitude while doing sports.
If you train intensely but would rather be somewhere else, time may be taking a long time for you. And the more you are aware of time passing, the slower it will pass for you.
In a recent study, researchers from Christ Church University in Canterbury (England) asked people to exercise in 30-second intervals on an exercise bike and on their own time. As a result, it turned out that time was flowing slower for them than it actually was: they internally perceived it as if it were moving 9% faster. This may be caused by increased heart rate and other changes in the body during exercise.
