“We now have three people implanted with Neuralinks, and they are all working well,” Bloomberg quotes Musk at an event in Las Vegas.
The previous experiment, involving implanting a coin-sized chip and more than a thousand electrodes in the human brain, took place in August 2024. The first is in January 2024.
The company plans to install more than 20 more implants during 2025. At the same time, Neuralink did not implement the plan for 2024: it involved implanting eight chips.
Last November, Elon Musk’s Neuralink received permission to implant brain chips in Canada. The company is also in litigation with the US authorities, but this does not prevent the billionaire from ensuring that within 10 years the Neuralink chips will be used by “millions of people.”
