YouTube traffic grew sharply in many European countries in the second half of 2024, according to Google’s transparency report.

The growth of YouTube traffic in Europe coincided with its decline in Russia due to a slowdown in the service.

From August 8 to December 31, 2024, YouTube traffic increased by 58.3% in the Netherlands, 22% in Slovakia, 20% in Serbia, 19.5% in Finland, and 18% in Germany. At the same time, in Russia over the same period, traffic decreased by 64%.

Although Google does not take into account the YouTube traffic limitation, however, this is due to the massive use of services to bypass blocking, the servers are located only in Europe.
