According to Dmitriev, a fund is now being created together with the largest oil and gas companies to invest in oil and gas technologies. “This will be a whole ecosystem in which we will not only invest in companies, but oil and gas companies will give orders to small and medium-sized technology companies. And we plan to extend the model of these industrial funds to the telecommunications sector and many others,” said the RDIF chief.
He also announced the attraction of 150 billion rubles for artificial intelligence projects in cooperation with Russian universities and institutes. “We not only invest in infrastructure such as data centers for artificial intelligence, but also in companies like Motorika, which are prosthetics that use artificial intelligence,” Dmitriev said.
RDIF announced plans to create a fund to invest in technologies for the oil and gas industry in September last year. It is assumed that the capital of the fund will be formed on the basis of parity, the participation of private investors will be at least one billion rubles.
Previously, RDIF, together with the Sirius educational center, created a venture fund with a capital of one billion rubles, aimed at supporting startups of local graduates and attracting young scientists to innovative projects. The capital of the fund was formed equally by Sirius and the Russian Venture Company, managed by RDIF.
