A total of nine games were tested. These are Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, NFS Unbound, Stalker 2, The Last of Us. Episode 1, Escape from Tarkov, Call of Duty WarZone, CS 2.
Cyberpunk 2077 was tested with an impressive preset without beams. The difference between Ryzen 5 9600X and 7700 in this game is 9%.
In Hogwarts Legacy at ultra settings with beams the 9600X was 2% faster than the 7700. The situation is similar in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales at a very high preset with reflection rays: but the 9600X is ahead by 9%.
In NFS Unbound, the processors produce the same FPS, in Stalker 2 it is 1% faster than the 9600X, and in The Last of Us it is 8% faster than the 7700.
Escape From Tarkov came with ultra graphics. As a result, the 9600X was approximately 25% ahead of its rival on the same stage.
After enabling framing in Call Of Duty WarZone, the 9600X’s FPS was 15% higher than the 7700’s.
CS 2 started with a medium preset. In this, the R5 9600X was 8% faster than the R7 7700.
With overclocking, the difference between processors in Cyberpunk decreased to 4%, in Hogwarts it increased from 2% to 3% in stock, in Miles Morales and Stalker 2 the difference remained the same, in NFS it was 2%, in the last one it was 2% happened. Us – 7%, in Escape From Tarkov – 49%, in Call Of Duty – 21%, in CS 2 – 12%.
R5 9600X is definitely worth buying for games, but only if you buy up to 20 thousand rubles. Also, in 8 out of 10 cases, the R7 gives more FPS than the 7700. However, if you want to have a reserve for the future, background tasks and streaming, the 7700 can be preferred.
