The ExoMars project started in 2005. The European Space Agency was preparing to send a Russian landing platform and a European rover to Mars. Everything was supposed to happen in the summer of 2022. The Russian landing module “Kazachok” and the rover “Rosalind Franklin” have already been prepared.

Now, the ESA board has decided to officially end its cooperation with Roscosmos on the ExoMars mission.
