This isn’t the first time SemiAccurate has predicted trouble for Intel. So in 2016 they pointed out Intel’s problems with 10nm process technology, and in 2019 they warned that the company could collapse over time.

The email about the potential acquisition initially circulated in a small circle, suggesting it was a “serious, confidential offer” and not just a public rumor. SemiAccurate is now more than 90% confident that this attempted acquisition is real.

Considering Intel’s current troubles and falling market value, it’s conceivable that this mysterious company might have enough financial muscle to complete the deal.

However, there are no details about the purchasing company yet. And it’s worth remembering that these are just rumors.
