Forbes got acquainted with the experts’ research, which will list the following 10 main areas of development:

  • Import substitution in critical information infrastructure facilities — the transition to domestic software will be carried out, among other things, through “future development contracts,” says Alexey Demin, director of business development at Auriga.
  • Investments in IT through pre-IPO, IPO — industrial enterprises will actively use new tools to raise funds for development; Private investment will also continue to be an important resource, although business angels have become more cautious in the context of the Central Bank’s high official interest rate. According to Alexander Semenov, CEO of the Corus Consulting group of companies, “up to 50 IT companies may participate in an initial public offering (IPO) in the next two to three years.”
  • Mindful approach to AI consumption — and the development of joint projects with other countries (in particular, with the BRICS countries) to standardize AI solutions and work with them.
  • Increased attention to the quality of IT education — in the context of personnel shortages, companies are often faced with the need to hire insufficiently competent personnel, which creates a high demand for the training of high-level specialists (including through the participation of practical teachers from the IT sector in training ).
  • Increasing popularity and number of implementations of platform solutions. — in the context of accelerating import substitution, complex products that do not require the customer to create systems independently will be in demand. Platform solutions also “reduce development and operation costs, provide clear and calculable scaling of infrastructure to adapt to changes in business scale, allowing customers to focus on strategic tasks and achieve their goals more quickly” , says BFT-Holding CEO Natalya Zeytenidi.
  • Promotion of Russian computer products in friendly countries — in the context of the decline in export earnings of the Russian Federation in the software sector, industry participants will look for new sales markets and joint ventures are expected to appear in friendly countries; “Thanks to competencies in information security (IS) and the creation of high-quality independent products, solutions of Russian companies are gaining popularity in India, Southeast Asia, Latin America and the Middle East,” says Dmitry Odintsov. , development director at TrueConf.
  • Changes in the national software registry. — The Ministry of Digital Development already requires new participants in the registry to make new software compatible with national operating systems, requirements will be further specified, restrictions will be introduced “for internal and captive IT companies”, the department has the intention to monitor the sales channels of national suppliers, and overall this will reduce registration, leaving only competitive companies.
  • Greater growth in demand for cloud solutions — by 2028 the cloud technology market is expected to quadruple (up to 464 billion rubles). “Customers are increasingly turning to cloud providers to host their infrastructure in a secure perimeter,” said Anton Stepanov, CEO of T1 Cloud.
