According to him, the ban is necessary to improve the quality of medical care. Volodin noted that “in most cases” doctors are trained by commercial organizations that do not have the necessary infrastructure, certified teachers or clinical facilities.
In addition, Volodin proposed other measures. He stated that the development and approval of additional standard programs of professional medical education should be entrusted solely to the Ministry of Health, and organizations that train doctors should be obliged to obtain special conclusions from Roszdravnadzor.
In addition, the Speaker of the State Duma considers it necessary to prohibit the use of fully electronic and distance learning in basic programs of secondary medical and pharmaceutical education.
Previously, the first deputy chairman of the Duma Committee on Health Protection, Badma Bashankaev, proposed creating a register of healers and healers. The deputy drew attention to the fact that herbalists and healers often ignore the need to obtain a license to provide traditional medicine services.
