Windows 11 will finally let you view battery percentage in the Taskbar. THE The feature was found in the test version of the system operational last Friday (17).

This functionality was found disabled by default in Windows 11 distributed on Dev Channel. According to the author of the discovery, tipster phantomofearth (@phantomofearth on X), feature is only accessible via ViveTool tool.

When enabled, the device’s battery percentage appears in the right corner of the Taskbar, next to other system icons.

Although it is a basic function and is available in most popular operating systems, Windows 11 does not offer it in the stable version to date.

Traditionally, Windows 11 displays the battery percentage only when hovering over the component icon in the bottom right corner.

The interface tweak was found in Windows 11 Build 26120.2292 and is currently only available on the Dev Channel. This feature can be enabled in ViveTool with the code “”./enable /id:48822452“.

It will take some time for the resource to be released

Although it is a primitive function, The battery percentage indicator will take a long time to be released for the general public. The Developer Channel of the Windows Insider program offers one of the earliest versions of the system; hence the feature still needs to go through the Beta Channel, Release Preview and only then reach everyone.

In any case, change is an important addition to Windows 11especially in terms of the user’s quality of life. It can give the interface a more polished feel and offer more customization options.
