The wallet of the World Liberty Financial crypto project, supported by Donald Trump’s family, contains 457,777 WBTC (“wrapped” bitcoins) on the Ethereum blockchain for a total of $47.65 million, according to Arkham’s markup .

At the same time, the new US president never mentioned cryptocurrencies or his own token in his inaugural speech.

The price of Bitcoin reacted by falling from 106.6 thousand dollars at the beginning of his speech to 102.9 thousand dollars (-3%) at the end.

Earlier in the day, in anticipation of the inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump, the price of Bitcoin surpassed $109 thousand, reaching a new all-time high.

The last time Bitcoin set a record price was on December 17. Then, the value of the asset exceeded 108 thousand dollars. Shortly before, Trump promised that his administration would “do something great with cryptocurrencies” so that the United States would not fall behind China and other major players in this sector.
