For the first time, ray tracing will affect not only the visuals but also the gameplay itself.

For example, the hit system will be improved: the game will be able to accurately determine which material (metal, leather or fur) the bullet hit. This will make the game more realistic and rich.

DOOM: The Dark Ages supports DLSS 4 and Path Tracing mode, delivering fully tracked images and lighting.

The game is already optimized to run on the new NVIDIA RTX 50XX series graphics cards, such as the RTX 5090, which deliver incredible performance and visual depth.

At NVIDIA’s CES 2025 presentation, representatives from Bethesda and id Software emphasized that the game also uses tracking to create complex levels and textures.

DOOM: The Dark Ages is expected to be released this year. The project has already become one of the most anticipated games of 2025.
